Hi! I'm Dan

I try to condense myself into a one page websiteI can unzip your business into a full ontology

My background

I started as a business lawyer in web3/fintech, then moved into operational roles as co-founder/COO at several startups. I learned that finding structure in chaos matters more than knowing the "right" way to do things. Now I build operational systems for early-stage companies – using the same systematic thinking that worked for legal design, but applied to the whole business.

Work with me!

I build operational infrastructure for early-stage startups. We should talk if your company is:
- Growing fast but operationally chaotic
- Too small for a senior ops hire (but desperately need one)
- Drowning in disconnected tools that don't talk to each other
- Spending more time fighting fires than building the business

What I do:

I design integrated operational systems in Coda/Notion that connect your entire business—from sales to delivery to finance to compliance. The systems I build are AI-native from day one, which means they can grow with you and automate as you scale. They don't just track what happened—they help you make better predictions about what's coming. When your operational infrastructure surfaces patterns and enables systematic forecasting, you make fewer costly mistakes.Think of it as: Senior operations thinking + modern low-code tools + AI integration = operational capacity you couldn't otherwise afford.

How it works:

- Discovery: I spend time understanding your business model, processes, and bottlenecks
- Build: I create an integrated operational system (usually 1-2 weeks for initial version)
- Evolve: Monthly retainer for strategic guidance and system adaptation as you grow
- Scale: As your needs change, the system evolves—no need to rip-and-replace

Areas of interest

I'm easily fascinated by complexity, and given that most complex things share the same universe, fascination begets fascination. I'm especially susceptible to:

  • Applied rationality (predictions!)

  • Exercise science (hypertrophy!)

  • Linguistics (signed languages!)

  • Ethics (coordination problems!)

You'll be able to find my thoughts on that topics in my Substack:

Things I'm building

I'm working on two pet projects in my free time – those are the things I wish existed, so I might as well make them myself:- an app to map fitness adaptations and find low-hanging fruits in training
- an app to create daily reading lists from your own curated texts
